ALTER DO CHÃO - Pará

Located in western Pará, Santarém will be our starting point to reach the most beautiful freshwater beaches in the world — Alter do Chão.

We will visit Belterra, the city founded by Henry Ford during the peak of the rubber boom in the 1930s. We will also visit the Tapajós National Forest (FLONA), home to the mighty “mother of all Amazonian trees,” the Samaúma, which can reach up to 70 meters in height.
